In folklore, a ghost (sometimes known as an apparition, haunt, phantom, poltergeist, shade, specter or specter, spirit, spook, and a phantom) is the soul or spirit of a dead person or animal that can appear to the living. In ghostlore, descriptions of ghosts vary widely from an invisible presence to translucent or barely visible wispy shapes, to realistic, life-like visions. The deliberate attempt to contact the spirit of a deceased person is known as necromancy, or in spiritism as a séance.
The films have virtually nothing to do with each other in tone and are not strong enough to stand on their own. They do remind me of Zardoz. A film to show your jaded friends who think they have seen everything.
I suspect in a haunted house movie it is the ghosts and house that are the real stars. It is a shame that they had to include this plot and these characters.
