Shortly after, Mendicino moved to New York City to pursue acting professionally where he joined the esteemed HB Studios. After six months of sofa surfing and auditioning, he decided to re-locate to Los Angeles where he soon booked his first television role as a high school bully named Buck on Nickelodeons ‘Drake and Josh’. He then appeared in several television commercials and went on to guest star in ‘South of Nowhere’ for MTV/N, and ‘Close to Home’ on CBS. Joey was chosen to feature as the love interest in the platinum selling artist; Jem’s ‘Wish I’ video (SonyBMG)’.
