After you watch the first twenty minutes, you will say to yourself hey this is cool. Do yourself a favor and turn off the TV. It is the only way to preserve the feeling.
Too long and slow for its good Ken Burns baseball sounds like the old uncle repeating the same stories long after he made his point.
The lack of a character or two that can be followed from episode to episode gives one little reason to invest in the slower episodes.

Overall a good movie that hits above its weight let down by a poorly thought out denouement.
