Johnny Got His Gun is a 1971 American drama anti-war film written and directed by Dalton Trumbo based on his novel of the same name, and starring Timothy Bottoms, Kathy Fields, Marsha Hunt, Jason Robards, Donald Sutherland, and Diane Varsi. It was based on the novel of the same title by Trumbo and featured an uncredited writing collaboration by Luis Buñuel. The film was released on DVD in the U.S on April 28, 2009, via Shout! Factory, with unique features.
Rampo Noir (Ranpo jigoku) (2005) Review
The films have virtually nothing to do with each other in tone and are not strong enough to stand on their own. They do remind me of Zardoz. A film to show your jaded friends who think they have seen everything.
