Better than you remember it? Yes, it still holds up, and it is better than I remember. A massive hit at the time I think it is often forgotten when we talk about iconic films from that era. Well worth the rewatch.
The Starfighters is one of the more painful MST3K episodes but certainly no fault of Mike, The Bot, or the writers. They stepped up to the plate and did better than one could expect. With such a boring movie, it just wasn’t enough.
Quiz Show gets overlooked when we talk about great films from the nineties but it really shouldn’t. It has aged exceptionally well and is in many ways more relevant today than during its initial run.
Well filmed with an excellent cast but it takes itself too seriously and lets itself down when it comes to genre standards.
It is not that easy to make a mainstream Holocaust film, release it in December, and get no nominations* for Golden Globes or Oscars. Defiance is trying too hard.
Laura Harring came to, well everyone’s attention, as the brunette to Naomi Watts’ blonde in 2001’s Mulholland Drive.
After two better than we deserved films, the third Blade is a mess.
